The National Service Scheme (NSS) aims at arousing the social consciousness of the youth with the ultimate objective of personality development through community service. The motto of the program is “Not Me, But You”. The organization annually conducts mini-camps, Ten Day Special Camps during Onam Holidays, Literary Programmes, and Legal Awareness Campaign. The organisation undertakes construction of homes for the poor and the needy, watershed management, wasteland development programme, blood donation campaign etc. It also adopts a model village every year. The NSS of St.Berchmans’ College was declared the best unit in the University in 1999–2000 and won the Moses Trophy.
