Ms Riyamol, NSS Volunteer (2017-2019) and former student of the Department of Microbiology and Biochemistry, St Berchmans College, Changanacherry has won the NSS State Award for the Best Volunteer for the academic year 2018-2019.

The awardee was selected by a committee composed of the Principal Secretary, Department of Higher Education; Director, Department of Higher Education, Regional Director of NSS, Kerala & Lakshwadweep; NSS Training Coordinator and State NSS Officer.

She also represented St Berchmans College at the Republic Day Parade at Delhi in 2019.

Dr Jacob Mathew M, Principal; Rev Fr Reji P Kurian, Dr Benny Mathew and Rev Dr Jose George, Vice Principals felicitated Ms Riyamol on her achievement. NSS Programme Officers Dr Ajith James Jose, Mr Anish K Joseph and Dr Rubin Philip responded that this achievement is a recognition for the sincerity and hard work of Ms Riyamol and a reflection of the excellence of St Berchmans College NSS Unit's varied activities in the fields of education, health and environment.
