Department of Biotechnology was started in the year 2001. The Department offers B.Sc Biotechnology and Botany (Double Main) and M.Sc Biotechnology programme in the self-financing stream. The department aims at training the students in all aspects of Biotechnology. The department offers Zoology and Biochemistry as complementary subjects in the B.Sc Biotechnology and Botany programme. Thus this undergraduate course covers a wide spectrum of subjects in life science and helps the students in gaining knowledge in all the aspects of Biology. The M.Sc Biotechnology programme was started in the year 2002. The Post-Graduate Programme lays special emphasis on lab-oriented training and also equipped with a curriculum that makes our students Masters in the field of Biotechnology
