Short-term course on Mendeley reference system

Department of Short-term Programmes of St. Berchmans College offers a course on Mendeley reference system for first year PG students. The course is optional and interested students shall register through the link given below. The duration of the course is 18 hours (one credit). The course will be conducted on Saturdays (of II semester) The details are given below:

 

Course Details

Mendeley is a research management tool that can help you collect references, organize your citations, and create bibliographies.  

With Mendeley, you can:

  • Collect references from the Web
  • Automatically generate citations and bibliographies
  • From within your citation library, read, annotate and highlight PDFs
  • Collaborate with other researchers online
  • Import papers from other research software
  • Find relevant papers based on what you’re reading
  • Access your papers from anywhere online
  • Read papers on the go with your iPhone or iPad
  • Build a professional presence with your Mendeley profile

  • Watch folder – set up a folder on your computer that automatically imports PDFs into your library. Simply, drag and drop.
  • Mark-up (stars, read-unread) – Knowing which articles you’ve already read and marking those that you like the most.
  1. Synchronize Documents – Synchronize your library
  2. Web importer – A bookmarklet that lets you easily import references and articles from within your browser.
  3. Read and Write
  • PDF viewer – Read one or multiple documents within Mendeley Desktop and use the various tools to highlight and annotate your documents.
  • Citation Plugin – Adding citations to your word document is an essential tool when writing your thesis, report, paper. Mendeley Desktop has a plugin available for all major word processors out there.
